— Happy Trails Cowboy Church Horsepower, and Holy Spirit Car Show at 1489 Mount Jefferson Road, West Jefferson, North Carolina. The car show will be held in the upper part of the parking lot. Gates will open at 8 am. Registration ($20) will be closed at 12 noon, and prizes will be awarded at 1 pm. All proceeds go to the Happy Trails Cowboy Church building fund.

, a local tradition or originated by the Ashe County art Council 41 years ago, will be held Saturday, April 18, from 10 am to 2 pm, at Mountain View Elementary School in Jefferson. This hands-on arts and crafts fair for kids will include balloon animals, take home art supplies, and “Jeff Boyer’s Big Bubble Show.” The school is located at 2789 Hwy. 221 N., in Jefferson.
