will be held Saturday, March 15, at the Ashe County Courthouse in Jefferson. Convention registration begins at 11 a.m. with county precinct meetings immediately following. The Convention will then follow the precinct meetings in the large courtroom. For those who may not know, the courthouse is located at 150 Government Circle. All Republican citizens of Ashe County are invited! FYI, preparations for the 2026 and 2028 elections have already begun. Ashe County GOP Executive Committee officers’ elections for the next 2-year term will be held at the Convention and resolutions to forward to the State GOP Convention will be presented. Any Ashe County Republican interested in serving as a delegate must have been a registered Republican on or before January 31, 2025, and attended an appropriate precinct meeting in Ashe County in February or March of this year. (Please Note: March precinct meetings will be held on-site at the courthouse immediately preceding the Convention). The January 31 limitation does not apply to Republicans moving into the precinct or those who may have turned 18 within 30 days prior to this convention.
